The Architect

The Thornewood Carriage house was designed by Kirtland Cutter (Click Here for KIRTLAND CUTTER). Locally, he is also known for designing the Thornewood Castle, Heather Hill (Day Estate) and Villa Madera, once home to actress Linda Evans. He worked and delivered projects in a time when classic, details, and workmanship were important. Outside of the area he is known for such projects as the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, the Ranier Club in Seattle and many other significant properties. He is often called by architectural historians as the most significant architect in Washington State's history.

American Lake and The Country Club
